Circuit South Peru
DAY 1: LIMA CITY TOUR AND GOLD MUSEUM

Colonial Lima: Main square, Govemement Palace, Lima City hall, Catedral (with tomb of Francisco Pizarro), the museum of the Catedral, San Francisco Temple, Santo Domingo Temple (with tombs of Saint Rose of Lima and Saint Martin de Porres), San Pedro Temple, Lima Balconies (Torre Tagle Palace)
Modern Lima: Sightseeing through the residential and commercial districts of San Isidro, Miraflores (kennedy Park, The Mole Love park, Larcomar) and San Borja.

Gold Museum: Private collection of Mr. Miguel Mujica Gallo with more than five thousand pieces of gold of ancient Peru (inca and Pre/inca), Overnight in Lima hotel.

DAY 2: LIMA / PARACAS / NAZCA

Leaving early in the morning. Travel by bus from Lima to Paracas. Excursion in a motor launch to Ballestas Islands where we will observe marine wolves, peguins and marine birds in the Nation al Reserve of Paracas.

On the way back we will see the famous Candelabro which is drawing in the sand with shape of a candelabrum. In the afternoon travel by bus to the city of Nazca. Overnight in Nazca.

DAY 3: NAZCA / AREQUIPA

Tarnsfer to the airport and take the plane to fly over Nazca Lines. Travel by bus to the city of Arequipa across the deserts and narrow valleys of the coast. Late afternoon arrival at the city of Arequipa. Overnight in Arequipa hotel.

DAY 4: CITY OF AREQUIPA

City Tour: Main Square, the Cathedral, Monastery of Santa Catalina. Tour Arequipa?s countryside: Visit Tingo, the Mill of Sabandia and The Founder?s Mansion.

DAY 5: AREQUIPA /COLCA CANYON

Travel by bus or mini bus to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world (3400 mts.). On the way we will pass throught the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Pampa Cañawas where we may see native birds and south american camelids (vicuñas and alpacas). Overnight in Colca Lodge. Optional Therma Baths of La Calera.

DAY 6: LA CRUZ DEL CONDOR /THE CONDORS FLIGHT

Leaving early in the morning to a point in the valley named La Cruz del Condor where we will observe the flight of the Condor, the largest bird in the world. On the way back we will visit the colonial towns and temples of Yanque, Coporaque, Achoma and Maca.
Late in the afternoon return by bus to the city Arequipa. Overnight.

DAY 7: CUZCO / SACSAYHUAMAN

In the morning transfer to the airport of Arequipa to take the plane to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Cusco. After arrival we suggest some rest in the hotel. City Tour and Sacsayhuaman: Main Square, the Cathedral, Inca streets (Hatunrumiyoc, Loreto), Temple and Quarter of San Blas, Temple of the Sun or Koricancha. Visiting the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman an the nearby sites of pucapucara, Kenko and Tambomachay.

DAY 8: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

Excursion to the Sacred valley of the Incas, over the Vilcanota river }, visiting the Inca Citadel of Pisac and the colonial town of Pisac where a typical Indian market takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday with a catholic mass service on Sunday, in Quechua (the native language). In the afternoon we pass though Calca and Urubamba and arriveat the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Olantaytambo. Return to Cusco by Chinchero or Pisac.

DAY 9: MACHUPICCHU / AGUAS CALIENTES.

Transfer hotel ? rail way station to Machupicchu. We travel to the famous Inca Citadel of machupicchu in a Interesting trip by train where we will experience different climates from cold (cusco) to temperate (Ollantaytambo) to warm (Aguas Calientes / Machupicchu). Launch or box lunch. Overnight in a hotel at Aguas Calientes.

DAY 10: AGUAS CALIENTES.

We will visit the thermal baths of Aguas calientes. Optional: another visit to Machupicchu at your own expense. Return to Cusco late afternoon. Overnight in Cusco hotel.

DAY 11: CUSCO / PUNO

Early departure by bus to the city of Puno. During the trip we pass by the Lagoon of Wacarpay and visit the pre Inca citadel of Pikillacta in the valley of Cusco. Next we will visit the Temple of Andahuaylillas best know as the Sixtine Chapel of America. On the way we will stop in Racchi where we will see the Temple of Wiracocha, a great Inca god.

Then we will pass through La Raya Ranch where we may see herds of  vicuñas and llamas. Further south we will pass near the mountain range of Vilcanota where we are able to appreciate the snow covered peaks of La Raya and Kunurana.

Then we will travel along the high plateau of Collao stopping at the city of Ayaviri and visit the Kalasaya Temple, remains of ancient Pucara Culture.
Arrive at the city of Puno. Overnight.

DAY 12: PUNO /TITCACA LAKE AND ISLANDS

Early in the morning we will navigate in a motor boat on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the floating islands of the Uros, ancient inhabitants of the lake. They built their own island with a plant named totora(a type of reed). Next we will continue the trip on boat and arrive at the Island of Taquile. There we will take a walk through the island.
In the afternoon we will return to Puno Overnight.

DAY 13: CHULLPAS OF SILLUSTANI

Early in the morning we will take the bus to Lake Umayo where we will visit the Chullpas of Sillustani which were funeral monuments to important leaders of the ruling class. Return to the hitel in Puno. Afternoon free. Overnight.

DAY 14: JULIACA / LIMATransfer to the airport of Juliaca to board the plane to Lima.
