Inka jungle trip to Machupicchu 7:45 / 8:00 am. After a meating in the Nikol Expeditions Peru office our trip begins leaving Cusco with a great panoramic view of the Capital of the Inca Empire, then we\'ll follow the Chinchero / Ollantaytambo route from there will take the right way which leads us to 4350 metres above sea level, here is the Malaga pass also known as \"Alfamayo" mistic place where the andean people very frecuently still make ceremonies to the Mother Earth. From this point and relying on the presence of fog we\'ll go down by car to take our modern bikes where it start one of the most beautiful excursions around the world, only compared with those of Coroico in Bolivia. In down hill we\'ll wach the inmensity of the Convencion valley and according to our descent find very varied flora, from straw-colored weedy places and weather- beaten bushes crossing by temperate vegetation and at the end penetrate into a jungle enviroment. We will get lunch by the way and visit the Inca Archaeological remains of Wamanmarka, finally after 4 hours of biking will arrive to Santa Maria 1430 metres above sea level. Our first night in a basic facilities lodge, dinner in the middle of a magnificent flora and fauna forest - little summary of the day and commentaries about the next day treck. Train back to Cusco, after enjoing the most complete and beautifulest excursions of the world. |
